Smiling and finishing last: a primer
May 28, 2011 · Leave a Comment
Recent headline news around the web are pointing to a research paper titled “Happy Guys Finish Last: The Impact of Emotion Expressions on Sexual Attraction” by Jessica L. Tracy and Alec T. Beall of the University of British Columbia. The pair of researchers concluded that women gauge sexual attraction more from a guy who is showing a somber, brooding or dark mood over a guy who is smiling and happy. The paper (PDF link here) creates from the relatively large study’s a conclusion that really can’t be ignored: happy guys fall to the bottom of the sexual attraction scale... [Read the full story]

It’s a rough dating market out there, based on where you live and what you consider your dating target. In the past few years, I’ve fielded hundreds of questions (on top of maybe thousands of rants) from males and females, gay, straight and bi, white and black and Asian and Hispanic, about how much they hate dating, and how difficult it is. When I’ve plotted out their age, sex, sexual preference, and location, I’ve quickly discovered that there are significant elements within the dating market that many people do no actively consider when they put themselves out there... Alpha, Beta and Omega Males: WRONG.
May 25, 2011 · Leave a Comment
With the growth in traffic to the PUA websites by hundreds of thousands of males (and probably even more females), the use of the terms Alpha and Beta (and even Omega) when it comes to males is becoming part of every day discussion I have with ladies and gents all over the world. A day doesn’t go by that I don’t hear someone say “He’s such a Beta.” I even find myself falling into that game by using those terms, and I don’t even mean to. It’s time to stop; the only way we can do that is to review why those terms are wrong, and what terms are correct. First... [Read the full story]

Being a Primal Man
February 21, 2011 · Leave a Comment
Last week, a recently gained gal pal queried me about what exactly I mean by “being a primal man.” I hadn’t actually given it much thought, in terms of overall definition, so spent the weekend examining myself, my goals and my activities to come up with a reasonable breakdown of what I mean when I say that term. For me, I firmly believe that my life and lifestyle is firmly dictated by my genetic programming. Humans have existed for a very long time on this planet, and while genetically we may have progressed, there’s plenty of reason for me to believe (and support,... [Read the full story]

Ladyjargon: I don’t look that pretty today
February 1, 2010 · 2 Comments
Most man-focused relationship experts will always talk about ladyjargon that is common to every dating column. My first few ladyjargon phrases are common ones, too. A quick Google search of them shows thousands of links. I feel that it’s also important to cover other things women say that are all definitely ladyjargon phrases, but ones that other relationship experts ignore. [Read the full story] Read More →

A Primal Man strives to be a polymath, or as Wiktionary defines it, “a person with extraordinarily broad and comprehensive knowledge.” Knowledge is king in a world of weak chickens whose sole intellectual ability is knowing what order to press buttons in order to beat the latest video game, or can only compare a few sports actors abilities on the playing field. The Primal Man, the hawk, strives to actually acquire knowledge that makes him a better man for himself, and a better man for those in his life, be it business, friends or lovers. While knowledge gained from books or school... [Read the full story]

Don’t fake it, do it.
The past 2 weeks have been communication hell for me. While I am happy to mentor to the future men of the world, I also spend a lot of time with the females as well — not just dating. I’ve always been attracted to open communications with women of all sorts (friends, family, clients, lovers, ex-lovers, etc). It’s amazing how much... Read more of this article
Rules of Initiation
One aspect of dating that is ignored by most males is initiating: who should initiate what, and when. When a male violates the rules of initiation, he can quickly disrupt a woman’s high desire grade level, causing it to plummet faster than one can imagine. Since all of these initiation tasks should have an article of their own, I will focus... Read more of this article
She wants to see you again! HALT.
So you’ve gone on a great first date, or maybe even a few dates. You’ve followed all the rules without playing games: you delivered curiosity for her life, you’ve figured out that she has a high desire grade level towards you, she’s not pitching tentative dates to you but solid ones, it’s obvious that she likes you enough...
